     If you do have some of these in place, we will fine tune them to be sure that they are effective in driving performance.  So many clubs simply have what we refer to as “show up for pay” compensation.  We insist on ”pay for performance” compensation and establish goals for all of the key personnel that align with the quantitative and qualitative goals of the business.  If the business does not meet its goals, then compensation is reduced.  Conversely, if the business overachieves, everyone shares in this success financially as well.  This is an extremely powerful means to engage the employees in producing results rather than just taking things as they come.

     We establish a culture of “kaizen” or continuous improvement that challenges everyone to improve the product offering, member/guest experience and internal efficiencies every quarter. 

     And most importantly to accomplish the foregoing, we formally evaluate performance quarterly to create accountability! 

     A business cannot ever afford to rest on past successes.  It must continually evolve and change in accordance with the changing environment we are in and the needs of the club's members and guests.
